This time of year in West Virginia is always one of our favorites. It seems as though calendars are beginning to fill up with exciting events, and we at Dan’s Car World have been known to take in music festivals from time to time. But where are the best in West Virginia? Here’s a look at some of our favorites. Check them all out!
Best Music Festivals in West Virginia 2017
Mountain Music Festival | June 1-3 | New River Gorge, WV
Who wants to hear some of that famous mountain music? With bluegrass and Americana bands such as Umphrey’s McGee, The Revivalists, BIG Something and many more, there’s truly something for everyone, from ziplining to outdoor activities to (of course) great music.
Deep Roots Mountain Revival | July 20-22 | Masontown, WV
We’re detecting a bit of a theme here, no? The Deep Roots Mountain Revival keeps the party going into July with this three-day festival, boasting headliners such as Brandi Carlile, Dr. Dog, Yonder Mountain String Band and Drake White and the Big Fire.
Bluefield Blues Festival | August 26 | Bluefield, WV
Is there anything better than a day of blues in the sun? We’d argue that there is not. Fortunately, the Bluefield Preservation Society is putting together a full day of bands, beer and food, and tickets are already on sale. It kicks off at 3pm and goes for the entire day!
14th Annual Culturefest | September 7-10 | Pipestem, WV
Culturefest truly offers something unlike anything found anywhere else: live music? Of course. Drum circles and performance art? Oh, yes. Community art projects? You’d better believe it. Fun for the whole family and only getting better, this one is only getting better as it enters middle age.
So, which are your favorites? If there are some that you particularly enjoy, leave them in the comments below, and come see us soon at Dan’s Car World in Bridgeport, WV!
