5 Fun Ways to Celebrate 2017 Valentine’s Day in Bridgeport WV
It happens every year, and some year’s it kind of sneaks up on you. Don’t let that happen this year! Here are 5 ideas to help you celebrate the most romantic holiday of them all.
No Honey, No Worries
Valentine’s Day can be wonderfully romantic, or kind of lonely. If you are feeling alone this year, don’t worry. The best way to fix that is to brighten someone else’s day. Make cupcakes and visit a local nursing home, or see if you can help deliver meals on wheels. As they say, everybody has a hungry heart, why not spread some kindness and friendship this February.
Jazzed for Valentine’s Day
This year on February 4th, the Bridgeport High School band will be hosting a dinner dance from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at Best Care pharmacy on Main Street. There will also be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Come enjoy a good time with friends and listen to some truly great music.
This holiday was started by a TV sitcom character, but we love the spirit of it. Do you love your friends and are you thankful for them? Then grab your friends and head out for waffles on February 13th. It’s okay if there is no special guy in your life this year. Celebrate friendship the day before Valentine’s Day instead.
Take a Nice Hike
How about a nice walk in nature for Valentine’s Day. Head over to Prickett’s Fort State Park. It’s a great place for a date or a healthy day spent with the whole family. There are so many beautiful places to hike near Bridgeport. Why don’t you pack a picnic and set for the day? That’s also a very romantic way to propose if that’s in your future.
Spend a Day at the Vineyard
A nice idea for a date is the Heston Farm Winery. You can visit and sample farm wines and semi-sweet wines. See which one you like the best. There is also a nice restaurant, and if you really love the place and things go well on the date, well, you can host a wedding there too!
